Walkers have much to choose from in and around Dunbar:

The John Muir way begins ( or ends) in Dunbar and now stretches all the way to Helensburgh in the West of Scotland.

The Southern Upland way starts to the south of Dunbar and travels through the borders westwards, along with St Cuthberts Way, which also crosses westwards from  Holy Island in Northumberland.

Likewise The Herring Road leaves Dunbar heading inland to Melrose and Galashiels

In addition there are many local walks both along the coast and inland. Tynninghame and Belhaven being two fine examples, if you can manage strolling along golden sandy beaches.
